The aeronautical engineer looks after the research and development of different types of aircrafts. They work with the help of Computer Softwares such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) to develop the aircraft or related avionics.
The aircraft which the engineers develop or work on can either be commercial airplanes/airbuses or helicopters or military aircrafts. Along with the specialized knowledge of aerospace domain, these engineers also require expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and other allied fields.
How to pursue Aeronautical Engineering
To pursue a career in this sector, the first step is to get a UG degree in Aeronautical Engineering. You have to pass 10+2 board exam from a recognized board in India with Science- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to pursue B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering. You have to qualify for the engineering entrance exam like JEE. After which you will be assigned the branch through counselling.
