Details of the Course offered for JSSU UGET-2016:
Total Intake - 200 per year
Duration: Duration of the course 4½ (1 years internship)
Students will be admitted to UG Medical (MBBS) course in the constituent college of JSS University, JSS Medical College, MYSURU, on the basis of the rank list prepared by the University from the test scores / rank obtained by them in the COMED-K UGET-2016Entrance Test
15% of total seats are reserved for NRI/Foreign National/PIO
5% of the seats are reserved for Institutional preference
Decision of the authorities of JSS University in case of disputes will be final
JSS University - MBBS Qualfications:
Requisite Qualification for admission to MBBS Course:
The candidate seeking admission to UG Medical (MBBS) courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 10+2/PUC II/HSC or the Indian School Certificate Exam (ISCE) or any other exam equivalent to 10+2/ HSC examination of any recognized Board/University from any School/Colleges in India/Abroad after 12 years of study
The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject; those who have passed the prescribed qualifying exam earlier than March/April 2013 are not eligible to apply
General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II/10+2/HSC or equivalent
As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMED-K-UGET-2016)
SC/ST & OBC Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II/10+2/HSC or equivalent

JSS MBBS - Application Procedure:
A candidate desirous of admission to Undergraduate Medical (MBBS) Programmes is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways:
A candidate is required to download the prescribed application form from the University website www.jssuni.edu.in and submit the completed form to the University on or before the scheduled date (A copy of the application form is given at Annexure-I)
The downloaded and printed application form should be sent along with COMED-K-UGET-2016 test score and rank and processing fee of Rs.2000/- only by way of demand draft favouring "JSS University Fee Account", Mysuru, payable at Mysuru along with the documents listed below
Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rs.200/- only by way of demand draft favouring "JSS University Fee Account", Mysuru, payable at Mysuru
Enclosures with Applications:
Attested copies of the following documents have to be enclosed along with the application form and kindly arrange the documents in the following order:
(i) COMED-K-UGET-2016 Score; (ii) COMED-K-UGET-2016 Rank card; (iii) COMED-K-UGET-2016 Test Admission Ticket (TAT); (iv) SSLC/Equivalent examination marks card; (v) 10+2 mark sheet/II PUC/Equivalent exam marks card; (vi) Marks cards of B.Sc/Equivalent exam of all the three years (in case of graduates); (vii) Conduct/Character and Transfer certificate issued by the college last studied; date of birth certificate if not mentioned in the SSLC/Equivalent exam marks card; (ix) Caste /Community Certificate; (x) Transfer Certificate for Karnataka board candidates; (xi) Migration Certificate issued by the Board /University in case of candidates other than Karnataka State education board; (xii) Six recent, identical passport-size colour photographs with name and date (in addition one copy of the photo should be pasted on the application form in the space provided); (xiii) Self addressed 3 nos. envelops Size 10.5 x 4.5 or 9.5 x 4.5); (xiv) Foreign Nationals seeking admission should obtain eligibility certificate issued by JSS University, Mysuru
(xv) Processing fee of Rs.2000/- only by way of demand draft favouring "JSS University Fee Account", Mysuru, payable at Mysuru; the candidate should write name , address and “Application for admission to MBBS courses” on the back side of the demand draft
