Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Ahmednagar invites applications for admission to 4½ years, 1-year internshipBachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), 4 years, and 1-year internship Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs in its constituent colleges for the academic year 2016-17. The PIMS Ahmednagar MBBS BDS Admissions will be made through PIMS AICET UG 2016.
The All India Common Entrance Test for the selection to Undergraduate Courses in Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (BDS) for the academic year 2016-17 will be conducted by the Admission Committee.
Intake & Duration of Courses
Rural Medical College (MBBS): 125 Intakes; Duration: 4 & 1/2 years plus One year Internship
Rural Dental College (BDS): 100 Intake; Duration: 4 years plus One year Internship
*The Rural Medical College, Loni has applied for increase, admission intake capacity for 1st year MBBS course from present 125 to200 from the academic year 2016 -17

Distribution of Seats
a) General Category: 85% seats are reserved under this category; this category will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates at PIMS-AICET-UG-2016
b) NRI (Non Resident Indians)/PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)/FN (Foreign Nationals) Category: 15% seats are reserved under this Category
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be an Indian National. The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality
Candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1999 to be eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-UG-2016
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated below:
The Higher/Senior Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to (10+2) Higher/Senior Secondary Examination, which is conducted after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course (or);
The Intermediate/Pre-degree Exam in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised Examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as compulsory subject (Or);
The Pre-Professional/Pre-Medical Exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English after passing either the higher secondary exam or pre university or an equivalent exam
The candidates who are appearing for qualifying exam in February/March 2016 are eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-UG-2016; however, they must fulfill the eligibility conditions at the time of counseling
Selection Procedure
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the PIMS-All India Common Entrance Test-UG (PIMS-AICET-UG) conducted by the Institute
Candidates belonging to general category that secure minimum 50% marks in PIMS-AICET-UG 2016 and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible
Exam Pattern
Date of Entrance Test: 07th May 2016 (03.00 pm to 06.00 pm)
There will be one question paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 50 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers
Scratching, overwriting, tick marking and multiple answers will be considered as wrong answers and no marks will be awarded
Syllabus for Exam
The entrance exam will be conducted based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

The PIMS-AICET- UG 2016 will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Loni, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune
How to Apply
The candidates are required to fill the application form completely. Incomplete application form will be rejected
Candidates can apply to university programs using any of the following three options:
Option 1: Candidates can download the application form from here
Option 2: The prospectus can be purchased from university admissions office or by writing to the following address on payment of Rs.500/- (for by post add Rs.200/- towards postal charges); the demand draft should be drawn in the name of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni payable at Pune
Option 3: The prospectus is available at selected places in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kochi & Delhi
Entrance Test Fee
The Fee for the Entrance Test is Rs.1500/-; the fee is payable by DD in favour of "PIMS, Loni" drawn on any of the nationalised banks
If candidate is using downloaded application form from our official website www.pravara.com, a DD of Rs.1700/-; and Application Form i.e. Late Fee Rs.2000/- Extra
