The notification for SRM University MBA Common Admission Test (SRMCAT) 2016 has been announced.  SRM University invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to MBA Program, through SRM MBA Online Entrance Exam 2016 for the academic year 2016

The SRM University conducts the SRM Common Admission Test commonly known as SRMCAT for for admissions into Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.

This examination is common for SRM University (Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR - New Delhi Campuses), SRM University Haryana and SRM University Sikkim.

Management Programs

BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration (3 Years)

MBA - Master of Business Administration* (2 Years)

Integrated MBA - Integrated Master of Business Administration (5 Years)

Fees Structure

SRMCAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria

For MBA Course: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline are eligible to apply for SRMCAT. Students must also have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks at graduation level. However, candidates with valid score in GMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, TANCET, and CMAT are also eligible

Integrated MBA Course: A pass in Higher Secondary (Academic or Vocational stream) with a minimum aggregate of 60 in SRM University Admission 2016

Eligibility conditions such as the minimum percentage of marks/CGPA obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exam shall be as prescribed by the university from time to time

For BBA Course: Candiates must have passed in 12th standard with minimum 60% aggregate

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting of the candidates will be based on performance in SRMCAT-2016 conducted by SRM University, or on the basis of their national level entrance test scores. A merit list will be prepared and candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview for final selection

SRMCAT 2016 Exam Pattern

The question paper consists of 100 questions with a total duration of 150 minutes for the students to complete. Each correct answer carries 3 marks and each wrong answer carries negative mark of 1

The question paper will have 5 parts with the following topics:

Part 1 - Data Interpretation: (20 Questions)

Part 2 - Quantitative: (20 Questions)

Part 3 - Reasoning: (20 Questions)

Part 4 - English: (20 Questions)

Part 5 - GK/CA/BA: (20 Questions)

The application forms are available both online and offline for the eligible students to fill. Candidates must pay a fee of Rs.1000/- either via online or via DD. The process is as mentioned below:

i) Apply Online with e-payment: Visit official website, register and pay online

ii) Offline with Demand Draft: Form can be downloading from the website and sent to the admissions dept. along with a DD for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Candidates should write their name, address on the reverse of DD, and send to "The Director, the Directorate of Admissions, SRM University, Kattankulathur, Kancheepuram-603203 (Tamil Nadu)
